About Us

I started What's On Necks in 1998. Just prior to that, my partner Robert & I had just become the proud parents of a gorgeous and mischievous West Highland White Terrier named Murphy ( as in Murphy Brown ), as well as aunt and uncle to Reba & Zak my sister's Bernese Mountain dogs & Ellie Belly a wonderful (Lort Smith) pointer crossed with a dairy cow.

It was then I realized what a drought there was for anything funky or innovative in dog or cat collar design. This led me to have conversations with other pet loving friends who were also not excited with the beige-ness of what was out there.

And so it was from there I made my decision, to dash into the phone booth, whip off my glasses and become the dog & cat collar lady from What's On Necks.

The 3 fs' are the cornerstone to my business.
They stand for, Fashionable, Funky and Functional.
All three are very important & none will be sacrificed for the sake of the others.
I design & hand-make collars for those discerning pets and their families who appreciate those 3 f 's.
