FAQ's

Q.What are the dog collars made from?

A. They are made from leather securely stitched to a webbing back.

This helps to stop leather stretch whilst giving a lighter but strong and durable collar.

Q . What are the cat collars made from?

A. They are made from leather. There are varying types as in patent leather, matt or even iridescent/metallic finishes.

Q. How do I do choose a size for my cat?

A. As simple as this sounds, it works.

If you consider your cat to be small then it would fit into our "Kiten/Small Cat" collars. If you think it is medium or large then it will definitely need our "Standard to Large" cat collars. The full length of our Kitten/Small cat collars are approx. 26cm end to end ( includes elastic & buckle). The full length of our Standard to Large cat collars are approx. 31cm end to end ( including elastic & buckle).

Q. Do you really make the collars yourself?

A. Yes, I really do. I have been designing and making collars for 9 years right here in Melbourne, Australia.

Q . If the cat collar is too long and I cut off the excess will it fray?

A. No. I have made them purely in leather without stitching or another backing to allow for that situation.

(Remember to keep some length if your cat is still growing)

Q. What are the buckles made from?

A. They are nickel plated steel.

(If your dog is a salt water swimmer remember to rinse them off as salt water is nobody's friend).

Q. What do I do to care for my dog's collar?

A. The collars are fine to hand wash in cool soapy water and just hang on the line to dry. With the embroidered collars, don't wring them out & keep them flat whilst drying naturally.

Q. What materials are the decorations made from?

A. The majority of decorations are made with a high quality commercial grade vinyl for easy cleaning. Occasionally leather & some are embroidered.

Q . I'm trying to sort out what size collar my dog needs, HELP!

A. Use a tape measure & either measure his/her neck, allowing you to place two fingers under the tape for a comfortable fit but so the collar won't be too loose to slip out of it or too tight, as breathing is a good thing.

You can also measure their existing collar by starting just inside the buckle (where the tongue slides through), down to the hole you generally do their collar up on. If their existing collar has plastic clips then measure from one end to the other but don't include the prongs that slide into the other clip.

Q. What are the cat collars made from?

A. They are made from leather. There are varying types as in patent leather, matt or even iridescent/metallic finishes.

Q. Can I get a collar or lead custom made?

A. Yes you can. Just email me and we'll take it from there.
